Valentines Day Look

Hello again lovelies,

I can't believe it has been almost a year since my last blog post, the time has just flown by. In the past year I have been kept busy with university work, working and looking after my daughter but I have decided to start blogging again as I have missed it. I thought I'd start back by showing you all some of my recent purchases.

I found out late last week that I was going to be getting treated to a meal out on Valentines Day. My dilemma was what to wear, despite having a wardrobe full of clothes I couldn't resist doing some retail therapy. I looked on Oasis website and found this gorgeous bird print blouse, I absolutely adored the design and colour and wasn't disappointed when it arrived. It feels so silky and looks lovely for going out in the evening with a pair of jeans or would be perfect for work with a pair of black tailored trousers. I decided to wear it with my sculpt and lift jeans which I have had a while from M&S and absolutely love, must have for any wardrobe. I've been looking for some shoes like these for ages and eventually found some that I liked at the weekend, they were such a bargain from Primark for only £4!

Hope you have enjoyed reading.

Nude Nails

Normally I don't really go for pale nail colours but nude nails are going to be trending this year so I thought I'd give them a go.

I thought I'd try out the nude nail polish from Barry M after reading some good reviews on the polishes. With it being a pale colour I used Leighton Deny base coat, three coats of the nude so that it isn't see through but just a slight colour then I used the crystal finish top-coat to give it an excellent shine.

Don't forget to enter my MAC lipstick giveaway. Also I'm doing my skydive in just over a month and raising money for the British Heart Foundation in memory of my dad. Would really appreciate if people could sponsor me, anything you can spare I would be extremely grateful.

New Year Project - Day 31

Sorry this post is a couple of days late, I have been quite busy the last few days. Here is the post for the final day of the New Year Project.

Jan 31 - "Here's to a fantastic rest of the year!" What have you learned this month? What are you looking forward to for the rest of the year?

This month I've learnt how much work I've got to in order to achieve my goals but that I need to be organised and motivated so that I can get where I want to go in life.

This year I'm looking forward to graduating from uni and getting a job in journalism (fingers crossed), I'm also looking forward to spending lots of time with my family and friends.

Hope you've all enjoyed reading my posts this month and don't forget to enter my MAC lipstick giveaway.

New Year Project - Day 24

Jan 24 - "Your happiness should depend on nobody but yourself." How can you take charge of your own happiness?

One thing that I've learnt over the years is that you can't always depend on other people to make you happy so sometimes you have to take things into your own hands.

In order to take charge of my happiness, I think it's important to take time out for myself and enjoy spending time on my own which I probably don't do enough as I generally like to have people around me but I have recognised lately that it is nice to occasionally take some time out myself. I enjoy going out for a walk with my daughter in the pram and just soaking in the beautiful area that I live in.

Don't forget to follow my blog on Bloglovin'. I will be doing a MAC giveaway at the end of next week so keep an eye out.

New Year Project : Day 22 & 23

Jan 22 - What don't you like about your body? What steps can you take towards accepting, and maybe loving, your body?

Since I've had my daughter, the one thing I've hated about my body is my mummy tummy. I'm going to try and eat healthily and resist yummy food (easier said than done). I also hate the tops of my arms so hopefully with a bit of healthy eating and when I go back to the gym and the fat will vanish and then I will be able to accept my body.

Jan 23 - How are you doing with your resolutions so far?

I'm not doing too badly with my New Year's Resolutions, finally getting things organised and making the most of the time that I've been spending with my family.
